Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 04.09.2026
Last Updated:  04.09.2026

Temporary Seat Holds

An online seat request does not automatically reserve a seat. If Caelmontaris accepts the request, the passenger receives notice that a forty-eight-hour hold has begun. The hold remains subject to the planned Caelmontaris-operated itinerary and the company-owned aircraft assigned in that notice.

The passenger must visit the Caelmontaris office at Connaught Commercial Building, 185 Wan Chai Rd, Wan Chai, Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong during the hold period and complete full payment in person using a disclosed office payment method. No booking payment is collected online.

If payment is not completed within forty-eight hours after acceptance, the hold expires. Because no payment is collected for an unpaid hold, its expiry does not create a refund. A booking exists only after payment is accepted and booking documentation is issued.

Cancellation Outcomes

The following rules apply to passenger cancellations:

  • Cancellation at least twenty-four hours before scheduled departure: the full fare paid is returned.
  • Cancellation less than twenty-four hours before departure, but before the sixty-minute reporting deadline: half of the fare is deducted and half is returned.
  • Cancellation after the reporting deadline: no refund.
  • Arrival later than sixty minutes before departure or failure to appear: no refund.
  • Boarding refusal caused by missing, expired, incomplete, or unacceptable passenger documents: no refund.

These outcomes apply to each passenger seat unless several seats are identified as one indivisible reservation. A rule does not remove any mandatory statutory right.

Arrival and Boarding Responsibilities

Every passenger must arrive no later than sixty minutes before scheduled departure and present valid government-issued identification, together with every passport, visa, permit, or other document required for the itinerary. Passengers are responsible for ensuring that their documents are accurate, current, and suitable for travel.

Late arrival, absence, failure to follow required security procedures, or inability to present acceptable documents may result in refused boarding. Such events are within the passenger's responsibility and do not qualify for reimbursement, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

Changes or Cancellation by Caelmontaris

Flights may be delayed, rerouted, rescheduled, or canceled because of weather, air traffic directions, airport restrictions, security requirements, governmental action, aircraft availability, mechanical circumstances, or other operational events. As the owner and operator of its aircraft, Caelmontaris may assign another aircraft from its fleet or offer an alternative arrangement when an affected itinerary cannot proceed as planned.

If no reasonable alternative is available, or the passenger declines an alternative that materially changes the paid itinerary, Caelmontaris will return the amount paid for the affected service. A material change may include a substantially different departure time, arrival airport, travel date, or routing. No refund is due for an unaffected service already supplied. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.

Refund Method and Timing

After accepting an eligible request, Caelmontaris will obtain the account details required for transfer through a protected channel. Passengers must not send bank account information through ordinary email. Caelmontaris may request booking and identity information before initiating the transfer.

Caelmontaris initiates the transfer within twenty-four hours after receiving complete and accurate details. This initiation period includes weekends and Hong Kong public holidays unless a banking restriction prevents initiation. The receiving institution may take up to seven business days to display the funds. A business day means Monday through Friday, excluding Hong Kong public holidays.

Where practicable, the return will use the original payment method. An alternative account must belong to the passenger or payer named in the booking documentation.

Legal Framework

This policy is governed by Hong Kong law. Relevant rights and duties may arise under the Civil Aviation Ordinance (Cap. 448), Air Navigation (Hong Kong) Order 1995 (Cap. 448C), Carriage by Air Ordinance (Cap. 500), Control of Exemption Clauses Ordinance (Cap. 71), Unconscionable Contracts Ordinance (Cap. 458), Misrepresentation Ordinance (Cap. 284), Electronic Transactions Ordinance (Cap. 553), Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486), and applicable international carriage rules.

Nothing in this policy removes a right or liability that cannot lawfully be removed. If any provision conflicts with mandatory law, the mandatory rule prevails and the remaining provisions continue to apply.

Account Information and Privacy

Account and identity information collected for a refund is used for processing, record-keeping, legal compliance, fraud prevention, and dispute handling. Personal data is handled under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). Cancellation requests may be sent to jetliner@caelmontaris.com. Account details must be provided only through the protected method specified by Caelmontaris. Further information appears in the linked Caelmontaris Privacy Policy.

Policy Updates and Contact

Caelmontaris may update this policy prospectively by publishing a revised version with a new effective date. Changes do not alter an existing completed booking unless the booking documentation or applicable law permits. Questions, cancellation notices, and refund inquiries should be sent to jetliner@caelmontaris.com during the support hours displayed on the website.
